If you're having guests over for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I want to share some tips that can help make it amazing. You have to take out and use all the cool things we've been buying and enjoy them. Then we put them away for later, for another occasion, or out of laziness we don't take them out and they just stay there, as if they were going to wear out. On the contrary, you have to enjoy them!
Let's start with a cool and different dinnerware set, something eye-catching! It can be plain but with a cool shape, or mix two or three that you have. It can be the same plate for all the places and then different plates on top.
Placemats are essential! They frame and define each place. Personally, I love to put them all in the same shape but mix two or three different prints…
For me, it's the centerpiece of the table, what will catch the most attention. This was one of the reasons that led me to design our own dinnerware… Have you seen it yet? It's amazing and super original! A statement piece when decorating your table!
- Tip: Our snake tequila holders also work as napkin rings… you just separate the snake from the little cup and that's it. They look incredible!
I personally like the centerpieces to be low so you can see the face of the person across and it doesn't get in the way. Some candles and a few flowers are more than enough. I prefer to add more punch to everything else, like the dinnerware, placemats, napkin rings, cool salt shakers, etc.
Napkin rings are a detail that can't be missing, they give a finishing look to each place. You can put the napkin with an amazing napkin ring on top of the plate and it looks super cool.
Individual salt shakers, I love how they look and that way you don't have to bother people passing things around.
If you already have a lot of mix of different prints of dinnerware and placemats, you can put all the glasses the same, in one color. If you're using wine glasses, make them transparent so everything looks uniform.
Then finally serve individual desserts in mini glasses or if they're brownies or something like that you can use mini cupcake liners and it looks wow! Check out our appetizer or dessert plate set, you're going to love it!
